Hello and welcome to the Gidgegannup Agricultural Society's new website for the Annual Gidge Show!
Trade stall applications are not yet open
To celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the Annual Gidge Show this year the committee is aiming to bring a bigger, better and longer Show to the community on Saturday 31 October. Bigger in that we’ll have more stalls, more entertainment and hopefully more competition entries (start thinking about your entries now), better in that we’ll have more bins and toilets (feedback acknowledged!) and longer in that we are seeking to run the Show until later than usual.
We’re working with the Amusement Park operators to have bumper cars included this year, alongside some Halloween-themed attractions.
The Agricultural Hall renovation project is likely to affect events including the Annual Gidge Show and the committee is actively planning for alternatives should the Hall remain unavailable. Applications for trade stalls are expected to open later in April once we determine what changes to the Showgrounds layout will be required if the Hall is likely to be unavailable.
Show Day vendor insurance requirements
Every trade stall operator and vendor MUST have their own Public Liability Insurance coverage for at least $10M valid for Show Day.
The Australian Government Business site has all the details you need to know about operating a market or trade stall.
Applications cannot be accepted without evidence of coverage which will be required to be uploaded during the application process. Unfortunately this situation is beyond the Ag Society's control and waivers or exemptions are not possible.
Examples of available policies can be found by searching for "1 day market stall insurance Australia". Coverage is available for third party injuries and property damage, and also for product liabilities. If you are a prospective vendor or stall holder please make sure you have appropriate coverage in place for 31 October 2026 before starting the application process. Most 1-day policies on the market are available for around $50.
Thank you to local businesses who have already pledged their support for the Show

Seeking community support to improve the wooden animal pens
Each year the number of animals entered into the Show has been increasing and has reached the capacity of the existing animal pavilion and steel pens. The older wooden pens are still usable however they currently have no gates. We are seeking donations from the community if anyone has gates they no longer need. There are 10 pens of around 3m width. Please contact groundspace@gidgeagsociety.com.au if you may be able to help out.
