To celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the Annual Gidge Show this year we will present a bigger, better and longer Show to the community on Saturday 31 October. The Show will operate from 9 AM until 10 PM with the Showgrounds Bar remaining open until 830pm.
There will be more stalls, more entertainment and hopefully more competition entries from our community members (start thinking about your entries now). Click the Trade Stall Directory link to see the variety of food, drink and other offerings available on the day.
The Amusement Park will be pumping this year with Dodgems, Maze, Sizzler, Bolt Coaster, Candy Swing, Tea Cups, Pirate Ship and Mixed Toy Rides plus sideshow games and some Halloween-themed attractions. This year the food and drink zone is right next to the Amusement Park which will keep our patrons well-fed and entertained into the evening.
Unfortunately the Agricultural Hall renovation will not be completed in time for the Show so the committee is working with the City of Swan to put additional marquees in place to replace the Hall's floor space. One marquee will be positioned next to the Ian Stannard Pavilion and will require some slight changes to the trade stand layout in the vicinity, and the other is expected to be in the car park between the Hall and the CWA. The competitions will need to be scaled down to fit into the substitute spaces and further information will be available on the Competitions Information page when it goes live.
